We are supporting children around the slum of Dagoretti, Nairobi.
We started with three children in 2006 and by the time school opened in January of 2007, 60 students had already been recruited and the necessary fees, school uniforms, books, and supplies had been purchased for them and children started getting two meals each day.
Over 600 children have gone through the program since its inception. Currently, we have over 335 active children in the program;
- 138 in the primary department.
- 88 in the secondary department
- 111 in the post-secondary department.
Our program is having a long-term effect on the beneficiaries, as they are better equipped for employment upon graduation, and also becoming productive people in society. Currently, we have over 200 alumni and most of them are now working.
