Objective: To help our students make informed career choices.
A major turning point in adolescents and young adults lives is the career choice they make in secondary school. Frequently, it is viewed by the family and community as a mere start to job readiness, but this decision plays a major role in establishing youth in a career path that opens as well as closes opportunities.
Today, students have a broader range of educational opportunities although they face tougher, competitive and more complex labor market. In relation to this, Ngong Road Children’s Foundation has developed a career development program that will guide students towards sustainable careers. This is achieved through organizing workshops and inviting career mentors.
Purpose;
- To match students’ career goals and education in view of the continuous developments in the job market.
- Offer advice and guidance in relation to career development, personal growth, and self-awareness.
- The program is conducted at the beginning of every year from January till March for all secondary school graduates. Guest speakers, organizations and career management firms also take part in this cause and are usually invited to facilitate.
