Board of Directors

Ngong Road Children’s Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors. Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that the affairs of NRCF are conducted in a fiscally responsible manner and that legal and compliance requirements are met.
  • Actively participate in the strategic planning and development activities of the organization.
  • Monitor and evaluate programs, outcomes, impact, and performance of NRCF

Paula Meyer left a successful career at Ameriprise Financial in 2006 and has since focused on building Friends of Ngong Road, a non­profit organization whose mission is to provide education and support for Nairobi children living in poverty so they can transform their lives.

Jeff is the Programme and Education Committee Chair in charge of program implementation oversight as well as reviewing education program structure and partnerships.

As the Corporate Secretary and Data Protection Officer at NRCF, Maureen plays a pivotal role in ensuring the organization's adherence to legal and regulatory requirements

Neena Shah

Board Treasurer

Neena is a member of the Finance and Audit committees. Neena ensures the financial controls and processes are in line with best practices by participating in monthly financial review meetings to understand the financials and provide support where required.

Aruna is a member of the Scholarships committee. Aruna also oversees planning of activities with the board members, reviewing project reports and policies.

Carole Chairs the Local Fundraising and Marketing Committee that assists the NRCF Board in fulfilling its oversight responsibility concerning local fundraising and the visibility of the organization.

Patrick Kyalo

Board Member

Patrick is a member of the Human Resources Committee. Patrick has a wide range of experience in the management of human resources development and systems strengthening in Kenya, DRC and Sudan south.

Paul is a member of Fundraising and Marketing Committee that assists the NRCF Board in fulfilling its oversight responsibility with respect to local fundraising and the visibility of the organization

Rephan Kitavi

Board Member

Rephah is the Chair of the Employment and Entrepreneurship Committee. Rephah is passionate about youth empowerment. She wants to ensure the organization achieves its Education and Employment Goals by leveraging the technical training opportunities available for the youth and ensuring the employment programs align with the job market demands.

Palak Kamdar

Board Member

Palak is passionate about creating visibility for companies inorder to get the desired outcome. She wants to ensure the organization is more sustainable in the long run by leveraging her skills and network to build a local fundraising infrastructure that will be self-sufficient and reliant.


Advisory Board Members

Advisory Board Members are program beneficiaries who are now mature professionals willing to devote their time and experiences to improving NRCF. We have recruited our first two Advisory Board Members: Eric Badi and Elizabeth Nyanchera

Board Member

Elizabeth completed an internship with R.W. Mbanya & Company Advocates. She is currently practicing at Nyamweya Mamboleo Advocate as an associate and Junior Board Member at NRCF.

Eric Badi

Eric Badi

Board Member

Eric has served as a Client Account Manager / Project Manager since 2020. Eric serves on the Education and Programs Committee as well as the Employment and Entrepreneurship Committee
