"Providing Education, Transforming Lives"
We empower Nairobi children living in poverty to transform their lives through education and support, leading to employment.
We support some of the most at-risk children with an education. – “Life is a Journey”
Who we are
Ngong Road Children's Foundation (NRCF) is a registered Non-Governmental Organization that was founded in 2006 by Paula Meyer. We hold a deep belief in the value of education and the hope it can bring to young lives. Our mission is to “Empower Nairobi children living in poverty to transform their lives through education and support, leading to employment.” We are supporting children around the slum of Dagoretti constituency, Nairobi. Currently, we are supporting over 300 active children and over 200 alumni.
Providing excellent education, health & well-being, a supportive community and employment programs is our means.
Transformation stories
“Because of Ngong Road Children’s Foundation I can now describe my future from the lenses of an optimist. One that is promising and demanding as well. I view myself growing even better.”
–~Emmanuel Odero”
Education changes everything
Our program seeks out children who have the ability to succeed but not the means. The number of children enrolled has grown quickly. When school opened in January of 2007, 60 sponsors had been recruited and a corresponding 60 children were on their way with school uniforms, shoes and school fees paid. We now support over 350 students with many on the waiting list.
