NRCF Sports Day Charity Event Surpasses Fundraising Goal

The Ngong Road Children’s Foundation (NRCF) is thrilled to announce the incredible success of our recent Charity Sports Day Event. Held on 27th June 2026, the event brought together corporate partners, sponsors, volunteers, and families for a high-energy day filled with sports, community spirit, and a shared purpose.

Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our supporters, we didn’t just meet our fundraising goals to support child welfare in Kenya—we completely blew past them.

Exceeding Our Fundraising Goals for Student Nutrition

Our initial target for the sports day was to raise KES 300,000, which will directly fund nutritious meals for 100 students throughout August.

The final results show the incredible impact of collective action:

  • Cash Contributions: We successfully shattered our fundraising target, bringing in more financial support than anticipated.
  • In-Kind Support: Generous partners stepped up to exceed our goals for event logistics, branding, and prizes.

Why this matters: Good nutrition is the foundation of education. These funds ensure 100 children return to school healthy, focused, and ready to learn. Proper meals directly improve classroom concentration, school attendance, and long-term academic performance.

More Than Just a Sporting Event

While the competition on the field was exciting, the day was truly a celebration of compassion and community. Every registration fee, corporate sponsorship, and volunteer hour contributed to breaking down barriers for vulnerable children in Nairobi.

By securing these meals, our community has made a lasting investment in the health, well-being, and future potential of these students.

A Special Thank You to Our Sponsors and Partners

This milestone achievement would have been impossible without the unwavering support of our dedicated partners. We want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the following organizations:

  • WorldComp Lenana Academy: Thank you for rallying the community and providing an incredible event partnership.
  • Royal Palace Academy: Thank you for bringing unmatched energy, enthusiasm, and support to the field.
  • Kingdom Bank: Your ongoing commitment to empowering vulnerable youth continues to inspire our team.
  • Game Changer: Thank you for the vibrant branding support that made the entire venue look spectacular.
  • Genesis Sports: Thank you for sponsoring the high-quality awards and trophies for our winning teams.
  • Inooro TV: Thank you for featuring our charity event in your news bulletin and raising vital community awareness.
  • Grab Garage Restaurant– For your contributions towards the days meals
  • Coop Bank Kawangware and Ngao Foundation – for your support with water
  • Participating Organizations: A massive shout-out to the 20+ organizations that sent representatives, including Kahuho Road Academy, Excel Academy, CFK Afrika, Action Foundation, Angaza Vocational College, Enkerai Sidai, and KKCO East Africa.

Looking Ahead: Save the Date for 2027!

The success of this event proves that we can create massive, positive change when we unite for child welfare. Because of this year’s incredible turnout, we are proud to announce that the NRCF Charity Sports Day is officially an annual event.

📅 Save the Date: Join us for our next Sports Day Charity Event on 26th June 2027!

Whether you want to participate, sponsor, or volunteer, we look forward to partnering with you again next year to build brighter futures for our students.
