Last Saturday was a day filled with joy, laughter, and fun at the Ngong Road Children’s Foundation, where our children gathered for our exciting Saturday program. The day began with an engaging icebreaker led by our facilitator, which sparked even more joy in the room. After a delightful lunch break, our children immersed themselves in various clubs tailored to their passions.
We were honored to host guests from Alesan Sister’s Enterprises, who generously donated sanitary pads. These donations are vital in boosting school attendance and academic performance among girls, ensuring they don’t miss school due to menstruation. By providing pads, we empower women and girls, enabling them to fully participate in daily activities and education on an equal footing with boys. We express our sincere gratitude for their generous contribution, which will significantly impact the lives of the girls we support, allowing them to manage their menstrual hygiene with dignity and continue their education uninterrupted.
To express our appreciation, our students delivered heartfelt presentations showcasing the talents of our dancing team, Taekwondo, and art club, making the day even more vibrant. We concluded the day with sweet treats and snacks, fostering a sense of community and gratitude.
