Antony, after joining the program, was immediately enrolled in one of the program’s elementary schools, where he did his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCPE) examination, and later, he joined a boys High school in Nairobi. Antony then pursued a course in Social Work and Community Development at the East Africa Institute of Certified Studies (ICS). Since day one, Antony has always been determined with his studies and has always worked so hard. All through, he was performing very well. He has always pegged his life as a success because he had the perfect weapon, which was the education that the program was supporting. He is currently working towards that because he has yet to secure a job.
The organization has been with Antony all through, and he has benefited a lot from programs such as medical aid, food aid, Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) training, summer camp, and education, among others. He is determined to make a life of his own and possibly be able to transform that of his family too. He wants a better one and acknowledges the saying that goes, “You can’t change your past, but you can work on how your future will be.” This has been his driving force in working to make things better. Antony is grateful for all that the program has done for him and sends a special message of gratitude to the sponsor for making things happen. He takes none of that for granted.
